Description

Builds upon student's understanding of numbers and operations to develop their algebraic and proportional reasoning. Probability viewed as an application of proportional reasoning. Foundational statistics is also covered. Overall focus on developing a deep understanding of mathematics that is relevant to the teaching of Kindergarten-8th grade. Not acceptable for a mathematics major or minor except the Foundational Math Education option and Math Education minor.
Prerequisites: MATH 110; MATH 210 or MATH 225.
