Description
This course provides an introduction to the leadership role of the professional nurse in improving nursing practice. The class provides the undergraduate student with a basic understanding of the research process and its application to evidence based nursing practice. Various types of research and research methods as well as data analysis and reporting methods are discussed. Ethical and legal consideration for the protection of human subjects are reviewed.

The class provides the undergraduate student with a basic understanding of the research process and its application to evidence based nursing practice. Ethical and legal consideration for the protection of human subjects are reviewed. 3 hours lecture. This is an approved Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement course; a grade of C- or higher certifies writing proficiency for majors. This is an approved Writing Course.
