This course focuses on the theory and foundations of transformational educational leadership and administration. Role expectations of the school principal as a change agent are explored including promotion of democratic education, development of professional relationships, instructional leadership, and assessment of student learning for continuous improvement. This is the first course in the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program and is applicable to the MA in Education.
Class Notes
Cohort 7: Open to students admitted to the Special Session Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) program. Registrations are processed through the Regional & Continuing Education Office. This is the first in the four course sequence for the preliminary services credential that studies the current literature on K-12 administration. This class seeks to build leadership capacity for future administrators as well as provide the necessary skills and tools for administration. Meeting dates: 7/7-7/28, Tuesday & Thursdays: Live online 8am-12pm. First class meeting is Thursday 7/7. Additional self-paced hours required.
