Description

This course focuses on applying sociological knowledge beyond the classroom. Students practice explaining sociological insights to non-sociologists through the news, social media, and other public and private forums. Students also learn to put sociology to use in their jobs, communities, families, organizations, social movements, and other everyday settings. The main topic varies from semester to semester.
Prerequisite: GE English Composition (1A), SOCI 300, SOSC 301, SOCI 310, SOCI 315, senior standing.
