This course requires additional enrollment & fees paid to Thinking Maps, Inc. Registration is at: http://thinkingmaps.com and your participation is required to receive credit. The Thinking Maps: Path to Proficiency Training prepares teachers to meet the academic and language needs of English Language Learners and other students who need additional support with language. The course will provide teachers with the skills to explicitly increase language through content, build Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency (CALP), help students with limited English proficiency access grade-level content and concepts, and adapt and extend the use of Thinking Maps for all ELD levels. Thinking Maps is a registered trademark. This course may be valid for professional credit at the discretion of local school districts; it does not meet degree or credential requirements. This course is held off-campus at various locations Registration deadline May 1.
