This course examines the emergence of classical sociological theory in its socio-historical context, with emphasis on the foundational ideas of Marx. Weber, and Durkheim that continue to influence sociological theorizing today.

Asynchronous: "Class has no regular live meeting days and times. Opportunities or requirements for other forms of synchronous work, such as real-time group work and help sessions, will vary by class and instructor." This is a Chico Distance & Online Education class.
