Chico State Special Session

Whether your goal is to take a class to finish a degree, complete a certificate, or simply earn a few units of academic credit, Special Session courses let you earn credit toward your academic goal. Special Session courses are approved courses offered in addition to the University’s regular semester schedule.

  • Courses meet residence requirements
  • Units may be applied toward a degree program
  • Fees are charged on a per-unit basis

Registration

You can register online, by calling Professional & Continuing Education at 530-898-6105, or visiting us in Colusa Hall

If you are enrolled in a specific academic program with scheduled classes, please visit your program page for registration links.

How to Register:

  1. Go to the PCE*REG site at https://pcereg.csuchico.edu/s/.
  2. If you've taken Chico State classes before, log in from the menu bar using your Chico State username and password. If not, proceed as a new student.
  3. Click View Classes and then browse or use the filters to locate your class(es).
  4. Add classes to your cart and proceed through confirming your student information and paying by credit card.

Fees must be paid at the time of registration, unless you have a pre-approved third party payer, such as a school district or other employer. You may then select the "I have alternate funding" option, provide details, and submit without payment. We will follow up with you for additional information.

After submitting your registration request, please allow five business days to be enrolled in your class(es). Once you've been enrolled, you will receive a confirmation email with details on setting up your Chico State account and accessing your class in Canvas.

Graduate School Adjunct Enrollment GRST 899

If you are pursuing a master's degree, you must enroll each semester until the degree is awarded. Continuous enrollment may be maintained either through registration as a matriculated student or through adjunct enrollment. Adjunct enrollment consists of registration in GRST 899 through Continuing Education. Simply find the term you are interested in and enroll in GRST 899 online, at the Continuing Education office on campus, or by phone, (530) 898-6105.

Campus Resources

Student Health Center services are available for an additional fee and must be paid by the university census date for the term of enrollment.

Wildcat Recreation Center is available for an additional fee. The following have the opportunity to purchase a WREC guest membership for the term.
