Engage in hands-on and technology-based experiences in the SAEA Studio & Gallery with a team of seasoned art educators at the NAEA Studio & Gallery. Set your path for transitioning from a STEM instructional approach to a STEAM approach, as you design STEAM lessons that align specifically to your unique teaching environment. Participants will learn about the basic tenants of STEAM-Science-Technology-Engineering-The Arts-Math. Participants will experience first-hand within a studio environment how to create a STEAM lessons with art education colleagues. Participants will learn strategies to support STEAM initiatives in their school environments. This course may be valid for professional credit at the discretion of local school districts; it does not meet degree or credential requirements. This course requires additional enrollment/fee to attend at www.arteducators.org. Off campus in Alexandria VA. Registration Deadline July 7.
