Special Session Course Information

Special Session courses are approved university course offerings for academic degree or professional development. They are a great way to meet student demand, explore new course ideas, reach an expanded audience of learners, and teach in a flexible schedule.

Offering a Special Session course requires an academic department and college approval. If you are interested in teaching a course, please submit a special session course proposal for our review. Non-Credit & Professional Development Offerings

Regional & Continuing Education offers classes and workshops designed to provide learning opportunities on a non-credit basis. They require only the approval of the Center for Regional & Continuing Education.

  • Formal admission to CSU, Chico is not required.
  • The program is administered through the CSU, Chico Research Foundation.
  • Participant fees are what you determine.
  • Compensation is divided 50/50 between Continuing Education and the instructor, with a percentage to the Chico Research Foundation.

Are you a practicing professional with proven skills and hands-on experience? Do you have formal education or training in your area of expertise? Are you interested in sharing your knowledge with others? If so, then we want to hear from you!

We are recruiting qualified instructors to join our team of instructors who meet the needs of our new and expanding programs. Classes can be held in the daytime, evenings, and weekends. Program areas include project management, materials management, purchasing management, manufacturing and distribution, processing industries, human resources, non-profit administration, engineering, finance, insurance, real estate as well as all areas of information technology including Web development, e-commerce, network administration, application training, and the digital arts.
