Gus Manolis Bridge | CSU, Chico Campus

Located between Selvester’s Café and Holt Hall, the bridge was dedicated in 1961 in memory of Gus Manolis, a Chico State football coach who died while searching for a boy scout lost in the mountains. In 2014, a falling tree knocked out a portion of the bridge. In November 2015, President Zingg and the Manolis family re-opened a newly constructed bridge.

Fix a Flat Day!

During the spring semester, Summer Session sponsors an annual Fix a Flat Day, a sustainability event that provides free bike flat repair for students, faculty and staff through the Associated Students Bike Cart. Since 2013, more than 250 flat tires have been repaired, allowing students, faculty and staff an opportunity to get their bikes back on the road for free.
