Regional & Continuing Education is pleased to present CSU, Chico Academic Advising Program Workshops in an online format. These archived video streamed workshops offer you important information from the University’s undergraduate academic advisors. The online application allows you to access the materials anytime, review the presentation multiple times, and print any handouts.

Dami Hammer, CSU Chico Advisor with Academic Advising Programs, provides critical information for recently disqualified students. She discusses the importance of reflecting on the contributing factors and behaviors that led to disqualification, the options available to disqualified students, and the steps required in order to be eligible for reinstatement to the University.

Back on Track: Academic Success Workshop

This workshop provides valuable information for freshmen and transfer students who end their first semester at Chico State on Academic Probation (GPA falls below 2.0) and are in danger of becoming Academically Disqualified. The workshop focuses on: understanding Academic Probation and Disqualification; knowing the GPA required for each class level to avoid disqualification; using the GPA calculator to learn the exact grades needed to attain the required GPA;  identifying challenges and barriers to academic success; suggesting specific actions to help overcome challenges and barriers, and; providing advising and campus resources. Academic Policies: Small Group Discussion

Marlene Romero and Sam Gonzalez, CSU, Chico Summer Orientation Program

This presentation and discussion covers three main academic areas: graduation requirements; CSU, Chico academic policies; and General Education requirements. It is one of the activities provided at the on-campus CSU, Chico Summer Orientation Program. Two CSU, Chico students present step-by-step directions for how to register in courses. They provide this information from a student’s point of view, with the goal of helping new students navigate through academic policies to plan a program that eventually will lead them to graduate with their bachelor’s degrees. Included is information about where to find academic resources on the CSU, Chico website.

The Registration Process
