On Friday, April 21, the Chico Great Debate, a day-long event sponsored by the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences and the First-Year Experience Program, will host a letter-writing forum for all interested members of the campus and community. “Express Yourself,” is a letter-writing forum and this year for the first time Chico State Online students are encouraged to participate.
Adulting 101 is a series of workshops to help CSU, Chico students and University alumni on the sometimes bumpy journey to independence. The office of Student Life and Leadership hosts the series in conjunction with the Career Center and the Alumni Center. Adulting 101 covers life skills on everything from Car Smarts to Credit 101. More than 1,000 students attended the popular series during its inaugural year of 2016.
Carson Medley, Thesis Editor and Advisor for CSU, Chico Graduate Studies, presents a series of extensive writing workshops for master’s degree candidates who plan on writing a master’s thesis or project. The workshop series addresses specific components of the master’s thesis and projects as well as general writing and organizational strategies. The workshops cover all aspects of academic writing and research and can benefit all students, regardless of academic discipline.
