    Calling all Jammers! Music is much better when you can play along, and after this session you’ll be able to. Do you have basic strumming skills on a guitar, mandolin, banjo, autoharp, or any chord instrument—including piano? Then dust it off, tune it up, and come on down and join the fun. You’ll learn confidence, get a basic repertoire of great music, and you’ll be let in on the secrets of serious jammers.

    Last week participants in Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Chico State celebrated the recent $1 million endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation.

  • Enrollment Opens for 2008 Localization Certification Programs

    California State University, Chico, Center for Regional and Continuing Education, the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) and the Localization Institute announce early enrollment for the 2008 Localization Certification Program and Localization Project Management Certification.

    The Localization Certification Program will be offered on the campus of EUROMED Marseille Ecole de Management, Marseille, France, March 31-April 2, and on the campus of Saint Louis University, at the Boeing Institute of International Business, St. Louis, USA, June 16-18. The Localization Project Management Certification will be presented April 3-4 at EUROMED Marseille Ecole de Management and June 19-20 at Saint Louis University.

    California State University, Chico is proud to host the Northern California Botanists Symposium - Northern California Plant Life: Celebrating What We Have With an Eye to the Future, January 14-16, 2008 on the Chico State campus.

    We wanted to remind you to save-the-dates and make plans to join us for our 6th Annual Children in Trauma Conference - January 11-12, 2008 on campus.

    We are very pleased to host Professor Victor Carrion from Stanford University, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He is an internationally recognized researcher and a respected educator in the field. Dr. Carrion will discuss the current research in the field of stress, trauma, and pediatric PTSD, as well as, the emerging treatment protocols and models.
