Registration Opens November 1

Register early and pay your fees immediately to ensure your registration is complete and you get the courses you need. Early registration also helps make sure enrollments are sufficient to conduct the classes you want.

How to Register

Registration for Continuing Chico State Students

Self-service registration through the Student Center in the Portal for currently enrolled Chico State Students closes on Dec. 6. Beginning December 7, students can enroll through Continuing Education by phone, online, or in person (see below).

Registration through Continuing Education

Registration through Continuing Education is open to all students, including students who are not admitted to the University. There are four convenient ways to register for classes:

Register Online

Use the Continuing Education online registration request process if you are paying with a Visa or MasterCard.

  • Find the class you want from the Winter Session Class Schedule.
  • Select the Register link in the Action Column.
  • Provide your contact and payment information.
  • Submit VISA or MasterCard information via our secure registration system
  • You will receive a confirmation email from our office once your payment has been processed and your registration has been completed.
Register by Phone

If you are paying with a Visa or MasterCard, you can call the Continuing Education office at
(530) 898-6105 to complete your registration.

Register in Person

Visit the Continuing Education Office on the Chico State campus between 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. You can pay by credit card, check, money order, or cashier’s check.

Register by Mail

Download and complete the Winter Session Add/Drop form and mail it with your payment to:

If a class is full, you may add your name to the waitlist. Waitlists are cleared as space becomes available in order of first come, first served. You must be eligible to enroll in the course to be moved from the waitlist to enrolled status.

When space becomes available, the waitlist will automatically add the first eligible student on the waitlist to the class and send an email notification only. If you are enrolled from a waitlist, you must pay fees right away to avoid being dropped for non-payment. Add a payment to your account through the Portal or contact Continuing Education to make a payment as soon as you are notified that you have been added to a waitlisted class.
