Conditional Admission
Conditional admission is designed for undergraduates who have not yet met the University’s English proficiency requirement. Students must apply for conditional admission by the University deadlines and submit all required documentation and fees. ALCI Chico maintains conditional admission arrangements with CSU, Chico and Butte College. We can also assist in transfers between other universities and colleges.
CSU, Chico Conditional Admission Application Requirements & Deadlines:
To apply for conditional admission, please send the following to ALCI:
- Completed ALCI application and US $100 application fee
- Completed CSU, Chico application and US $55 application fee
ALCI application fee and CSU, Chico application fee must be paid separately.
If paying by check or money order, the payment cannot be combined. - Financial Certification verifying funds. See International Student Services website for current fees.
- Official Academic Records (transcripts, mark sheets, certificates, diplomas, degrees) of all secondary and post-secondary educational experiences
- Copy of passport picture page
- Transfer students only: copy of I-94 and current form I-20

Eligible students will receive a letter of Conditional Admission and a
form I-20 from the University. You will maintain full-time enrollment
at ALCI until you are recommended for matriculation.

Fall semester: October 1 – May 1
Spring semester: July 1 – September 30
Graduates
Fall semester: October 1 – March 1
Spring semester: August 1 – September 30
