A. No, TOEFL scores are not used for ALCI admission. Sharing your score with ALCI, however, can be useful for placement.

Conditional admission is designed for undergraduates and graduate students who have not yet met the University’s English proficiency requirement. Students must apply for conditional admission by the University deadlines and submit all required documentation and fees. ALCI Chico maintains conditional admission arrangements with CSU, Chico and Butte College. We can also assist in transfers between other universities and colleges.

Getting to Chico

When you are making arrangements to travel to Chico, we recommend you fly into Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and utilize the North Valley Shuttle http://www.northvalleyshuttle.com 530-891-1219 as ground transport to Chico (90 miles - 145 kilometers). The North Valley Shuttle has limited service (three round trips per day). A shuttle reservation with drop off service to your housing address in Chico (+$10) is recommended.
