This course examines the process of creating health policy including the examination of historical and current policies related to public health, stakeholders in health policy making, and advocacy. Critical policy issues including cost, access, and quality of care are studied. An overview of the US health system including public health and government programs from historical, organizational, financial, and administrative perspectives is provided.
Prerequisite: PHHA 321.
