Led by distinguished scholars, the seminars explore historical documents, literary texts, and images to demonstrate and support

Conference Services at CSU, ChicoOver the next two weeks, CSU, Chico will welcome more than 600 youth and educators to three different conferences supporting quality educational programs and professional development for teachers. The first event, the Teachers’ Professional Development for Inland California (Teachers’ PD INC) Summer Conference, will take place July 24–25.

Program for California Teachers Offers High Quality, Low Cost Professional Development Credit

National Humanities CenterResearch Triangle Park, NC and Chico, CA  A new partnership between the National Humanities Center (NHC) and the Center for Regional & Continuing Education at California State University, Chico (CSU, Chico) provides California K-12 teachers the opportunity to earn university credits for completing online professional development seminars from the NHC. The National Humanities Center is the only major independent American institute for advanced study in all fields of the humanities. It is distinctive in its commitment to linking scholarship to improved teaching and providing teachers with new materials and instructional strategies to make them more effective in the classroom and rekindle their enthusiasm for the subjects they teach.
