Business Administration: Management Option

The Department of Management delivers courses designed to develop skills in the administration of human and physical resources, to foster decision-making and entrepreneurial thinking, and to provide students with exposure to diverse business environments and management strategies. Management graduates can apply their skills to developing fundable entrepreneurial ventures or positions in personnel management, production management, retail management, operations management, or government and private non-profit administration.

If you were previously admitted to CSU, Chico but did not register for the previous regular semester you will need to complete another university application to be readmitted. (This does not apply to students who filed a Planned Educational Leave-PEL.)

Registration for Continuing State-Support Students

You are considered a continuing state-support student if you have been officially admitted to the university and you were enrolled during the previous semester. (If you skipped a semester without enrolling in courses and did not file a Planned Educational Leave [PEL], you will be considered a re-admit student.) It is important to check the academic calendar and associated deadlines early in this process.

Applications will be accepted August 1-31, 2018 for admission to the 2019 spring semester. The application period for fall 2019 is October 1-November 30, 2018. The application period for fall 2018 ended November 30, 2017, but you may be able to get started with your coursework by enrolling through our Open University program.

Does an established and respected accreditation body accredit the institution or program?

The regional accounting body Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredits California State University, Chico. WASC is one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States. College of Business offerings are also AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited.
