This online application allows you to access workshop materials any time, to review a presentation multiple times, and to print any handouts. Does an established and respected accreditation body accredit the institution or program?
The regional accounting body Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredits California State University, Chico. This includes online degree programs. WASC is one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

Open University

Open University Enrollment in Online Classes

The Open University program allows individuals who have not been admitted to the University, or who have been denied admission or academically disqualified, to enroll in non-supervision courses and receive academic credit: (1) with the instructor’s permission and (2) on a space-available basis. Other criteria may be established by the department or college.

Step 1.  Are You Ready to be an Online Student?

You will need a computer and Internet access to participate in online courses.  Online courses offer a unique and exciting learning experience, but they are not for everyone. The most common obstacles are access and time constraints. To be a successful online student you must be self-motivated, have access to an Internet ready computer, be willing to actively participate within the unique confines of the online environment, and meet the admission requirements of the program.

Online Degree & Certificate Programs

Welcome to Chico Distance & Online Education

Chico Distance & Online Education offers fully-accredited online courses and degree programs, providing students who do not live in Chico access to a CSU, Chico degree without having to come to campus. While the courses are entirely Web-based, many of the courses also provide live, synchronous video streaming of course lectures. To participate in these classes you will need to be admitted to the University and have a computer and access to the Internet.
