Educators attending the annual 2018 California Council for the Social Studies conference will have the opportunity to hear outstanding keynote speakers, communicate with prominent scholars and experts in the field of social studies, attend sessions on curricula and instruction, and network with a variety of veteran educators, curriculum specialists, university instructors, and national leaders in history, economics, civic education, and geography. Special strand sessions will include:Social Studies and the Common Core, media literacy, the new California HSS Framework, and literacy skills. A minimum of 15 hours of attendance over the course of the conference, including the preconference workshop, is required for one unit of university credit. This course may be valid for professional credit at the discretion of local school districts; it does not meet degree or credential requirements. This course requires additional enrollment/fee to attend at http://ccss.org/. This course is held off-campus in San Diego, CA. Registration Deadline March 30.
