Public Health Nursing Theory

Description

This course provides an introduction to the specialty of public health nursing. Students examine the impact of epidemiological, social, ethical, cultural, political, economic, and legal factors on lifestyle and health. Students apply the principles of public health science combined with nursing knowledge and skills to address the disease prevention needs of individuals, families, and communities.

Prerequisites: NURS 300W, NURS 301, NURS 307P, NURS 308P, NURS 309P, NURS 342W, NURS 422W, NURS 495W.
