Optional Credit for Travel Course-Antigua Archaeological Field School. Requires application & additional enrollment. Visit: http://rce.csuchico.edu/passport. The focus of the Antigua Archaeological Field School is to provide hands-on training to learn archaeological field methodology firsthand. This includes mapping and surveying, recording field data, field excavation, and the processing of archaeological materials. The field school also includes evening lectures and field trips relating to Antigua's history and prehistory, and allows students to experience Caribbean culture as part of their study abroad experience. Students will learn the ethics and professionalism of the discipline and current standards and practices as advanced by the Register of Professional Archaeologists.
