Wildflowers: Name that Wildflower

$35 materials fee
Peer Leader for the Life Sciences class, Kathryn Hogue, will offer a one day workshop with presentations by Linnea Hanson, along with Jenny Marr and Colby Boggs. Ms. Hanson has led this class through the California Native Plant Society & Friends of the Chico State Herbarium. She is a forest botanist for Plumas Nation Forest.

Class will be Saturday, March 29, 2008, 8:30-4:30, weather permitting, at the Biological Sciences Herbarium, 129 Holt Hall, CSU, Chico. The morning will be in the classroom and the afternoon will be in the field. A $35 fee is required for the Pacific States Wildflowers book, a hand lens, and snacks.

Wildflowers of Table Mountain

Join us for a conducted tour. Meet at the big oak tree in the parking lot and wear sturdy shoes and a hat for the sun. We will spend up to 2 hours walking down the path towards the waterfall, but you need not go the full distance. Bring a small bottle of water and a
brown bag lunch.

can be purchased for $10 at the Bidwell Mansion Visitor Center. Expect to see lupines, fiddleneck, bitterroot, meadowfoam, yellow carpet, goldfields, and more.
