MS in Interdisciplinary Studies: Science EducationDescription: The College of Natural Sciences and the Department of Education at CSU, Chico have created this interdisciplinary program in response to requests from teachers participating in the California Science Project who indicated a desire to further their science training. The teachers also expressed the desire to attain a master's degree. This master's program has been designed to meet the needs of practicing teachers in the geographically large, rural community of Northern California and beyond. All courses will be presented by WebCT (Web Course Tools) or other web-based curricular material over the Internet for distant access during the semester and will have adapted laboratory and field schedules on a few weekends at the CSU, Chico campus.Degree Information: http://scied.csuchico.edu:16080/mist/ Advisor: Julie Monet Advisor Phone: 530-898-3460 Advisor Email: jmonet@csuchico.edu Admission Process: http://rce.csuchico.edu/online/requestapp.asp January Intersession 2010 1/4/2010 - 1/22/2010 - Special Session Unlike in past years, all January 2010 Intersession courses are Special Session.
