MBA Admission Requirements

1) Enrollment in graduate level (600) MBA courses requires the completion of undergraduate prerequisite courses covering the common body of knowledge in business:

Normally, these prerequisites should have been completed within 7 years prior to admission into the program; however, professional business education and training and/or employment history may be considered in evaluating the currency of these prerequisites.

Equivalents of some of these prerequisites may be by pre-approved community college, university, and online courses. The Graduate Business Programs Office will review your transcripts for program admission.

*Students who intend to enter the Professional MBA program at the Redding location may take all prerequisites at Shasta College except Fin 150. Consult advisor for alternative options for the finance course.
**Students living in the Chico/Butte service area should take upper division courses at Chico State rather than Butte College.

3) Current Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) OR Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score which demonstrates the ability to be successful in a graduate program.
