January Intersession: January 3–20, 2012
January
Intersession Schedule.
Registration in January Intersession is open to continuing CSU,
Chico students as well as students who are not currently admitted to
the University.
Registration for Current CSU, Chico Students
You can register for January Intersession through January 3,
2012.
You can register online through the Continuing Education Web site via
the January
Intersession Schedule, call 530-898-6105, or visit
the Continuing Education office on campus during business hours (Monday-Friday
8:00am-5:00pm).
Please note that January Intersession is a separate
term (and is not considered part of the spring semester).
Many classes will fill, so be sure to register and pay your fees early to confirm your enrollment.
Self-service enrollment through the portal is now closed. All enrollments,
adds, and drops must be made through Continuing
Education via this website, by phone, or in person.
Registration for Non-admitted Students
You can register online through the Continuing
Education Web site via the Intersession
Schedule, call 530-898-6105, or visit
the Continuing Education office during business
hours (Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm).
Fees
January Intersession fees are $230 per unit.
If you are a continuing Chico State student and enroll through the Portal, you must pay fees no later than the fee payment deadline of Friday, December 2. The sooner you pay your fees, the sooner your registration is confirmed!
Any registrations that have outstanding fee balances as of midnight on December 2 will be cancelled on Monday, December 5, regardless of fee payments received after December 2. Fees should be paid by 3pm on December 2 to ensure they are posted to your account in time to avoid cancellation for non-payment.
If you are not a continuing Chico State student, you must pay fees at the time of registration.
After December 2, you must pay fees at the time of registration regardless of your status as a Chico State student.
Payment Options
• Through the Student Center on the Portal: Post a payment to your account through the Student Center in the Chico State Portal . Payments may be made by credit card (Discover, American Express or MasterCard) or by e-check. Credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% service fee .
• Online: Go to http://rce.csuchico.edu/intersession/ and select your course from the schedule. Follow the instructions to enroll (even if you've already enrolled through the portal) and pay online with a Visa or MasterCard. No convenience fee applies.
• By Phone: call 530-898-6105 to pay with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard). No convenience fee applies.
• In Person: visit the Continuing Education office to complete fee payment, including check, cash, and credit/debit card payments.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid is not available for January Intersession.
Adds, Drops, & Refunds
If you are a Chico State student, you may add/drop through
the Portal until December 2.
Beginning December 3 adds and drops must
be processed through Continuing Education. If you are not an admitted
Chico State student all adds and drops must be processed through Continuing
Education.
Drops on or before Tuesday, January 3, may
be made directly to Continuing Education and do not require permission.
Drops on Wednesday, January 4, and Thursday,
January 5, require
a signature from the instructor on the January
Intersession Add/Drop Form.
Drops on Friday, January 6, or
later require
signatures from the instructor, department chair, and college dean
on the January
Intersession Add/Drop Form.
Refunds
Drop on or before Tuesday, January
3: Full refund,
less a processing fee.
Drop Wednesday, January 4, or Thursday,
January 5:
65% refund (materials fees, if any, will also be refunded).
Drop Friday, January 6, or later: No refund.
If a class cancels, your fees will
be refunded 100%.
Maximum Unit Load
The maximum unit load for January Intersession is 4 units. You
may petition to take additional units during Intersession by filling
out the Max
Unit Petition and gaining the appropriate approvals.
