    The Butte County Office of Education and Learning Support Region 2 are hosting the 8th Annual Professional Learning Institute for after school/expanded learning professionals. This year’s conference theme, “Creating a World of Opportunity,” will deepen attendees’ understanding of the importance of preparing our students to compete in a global marketplace. The program consists of a variety of hands-on, experiential learning, best practices and research-based workshops presented by cutting-edge presenters committed to supporting expanded learning programs.

    ElderCollege at CSU, ChicoElderCollege is a great way to explore new disciplines and enjoy learning for the joy of it! Persons age 60 and over can register to take Chico State classes on a non-credit, space-available basis with the permission of the instructor. As a guest in the course, you’ll gain the knowledge you desire without required homework!

Hear from OLLI peer leaders about class content for courses ranging in subject matter from the arts and literature, history, banking, social issues and current events to science, meditation, foreign languages, birding, walking, and special interest groups.

    CSU, Chico College of Business will host an Information Session, Wednesday, August 20, 11:00am-11:50am in Room 2108, on the Shasta College campus.

    Faculty will be on hand to introduce and discuss the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) option in the Business Information Systems (BIS) major which is offered at the University Center downtown.

    The OLLI Curriculum Committee will host a Peer Leader Orientation Workshop for OLLI peer leaders and potential new ones. We will distribute your personalized course packets containing class rosters, audio visual inventory sheets, a very important safety procedures sheet and your OLLI Peer Leader name badge. This program will be especially valuable for anyone considering becoming an OLLI peer leader. We can help you advance your ideas about teaching a course with advice about format and presentation ideas. Our new mentor program is also available to help.
