    The ELM Workshop is an invitation-only course for first time freshmen entering CSU, Chico in fall 2014 and who have an Entry Level Mathematics (ELM) test score in the range of 42-48. Completion of the ELM workshop is one of the ways to fulfill the Early Start Program math requirement for first time freshmen.

    The Early Start Program (ESP) is an enrollment requirement for first-time freshmen who need help getting ready for college-level English and/or math. The goal of Early Start is to better prepare you in math and English before your first semester even begins so that you have a better chance of completing a college degree.

    Institute for Reading Development offers reading classes that help students master fluency, comprehension, and speed…and take home a love for reading! Classes are available for all age levels, from preschoolers to high school students to college students and adults.
