Course Articulation
To determine if your courses from other California schools will articulate
(transfer) to CSU, Chico, visit www.assist.org and
follow these directions:
- Click "Start Assist"
- Select "California State University, Chico" and the year of the catalog
whose requirements you follow (if you're not sure, use the current
year). Click "Continue."
- Select the school from which you took the classes you'd like to transfer.
Click "Continue."
- Select your intended major. Only the General option is available
to online students, select the General option. Click "Continue."
- You will see a screen listing comparable courses from CSU, Chico
and your institution.
- If the course you would like to transfer is listed, we have an agreement
with your institution. If it is not listed, it means that it will not
transfer OR that the course is an upper division course. Only lower
division courses ( CSU, Chico course numbers less than 300) can be transferred
from junior colleges.
Note that only junior colleges and California State University institutions
are listed (University of California institutions are excluded). UC courses
may be eligible for transfer, but these must be evaluated individually.
Upper division CSU and four-year, out-of-state institution courses must
also be evaluated individually. For individual course evaluation, you need
to provide the university's catalog description of the course and the course
syllabus or outline.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Academic
Advising Program (530-898-5957).
