Proof of English Language Proficiency
You must submit proof of English Language proficiency and financial resources when applying to the university.See the international admissions page for more information.
Undergraduate Applicants Graduate School Applicants

Official International TOEFL score of 61 on the iBt internet based TOEFL/173 on the computer based exam/500 on the paper based exam or
Official IELTS band score of 6 or
Successful completion of all of ALCI's level 6 classes and director's recommendation.

 

Official International TOEFL score of 80 on the iBt internet based TOEFL/550 on the paper based exam, or higher if program requires.
Offical IELTS band score of 6.5 is required

CSU, Chico Conditional Admission
Apply to CSU, Chico or Saint Mary's College pending your English language proficiency with conditional admission.


Open University
Open University allows you to enroll in regular university classes without formal admission to the university.

Open University Eligibility Requirements:
Demonstrated English language proficiency (TOEFL 173+)
Approval from ALCI

Space availability in the selected classes
Proof of completion of course prerequisites
Approval from the professor and/or academic department

Concurrent Enrollment in ALCI and
Open University Courses

Concurrent Enrollment allows you to enroll in regular university classes while you are enrolled in intensive English language classes at ALCI. Eligibility and Course Enrollment Contingencies are the same as listed above for Open University.
