State”, was established in 1887. CSU, Chico is the second
oldest university in the 23-campus California State University system.
Students enrollment is 16,000, including hundreds of international
students representing more than 55 countries.

Admission
Apply to CSU, Chico or Saint Mary's College pending your English
language proficiency with conditional
admission.
Open University
Open University
allows you to enroll in regular university classes without formal
admission to the university.
Open University Eligibility Requirements:
Demonstrated
English language proficiency (TOEFL 173+)
Approval
from ALCI
Space availability in the selected classes
Proof of
completion of course prerequisites
Approval
from the professor and/or academic department
Concurrent
Enrollment in ALCI and
Open University Courses
Concurrent Enrollment
allows you to enroll in regular university classes while you are
enrolled in intensive English language classes at ALCI. Eligibility
and Course Enrollment Contingencies are the same as listed above
for Open University.
